Beneficiaries: about 3,400 families, mostly from low-income living in the midst of economic conditions and social conditions of the embargo, which depleted the resources and capabilities of the Palestinian people.
Project Description:
Working farms for fish in salt water and fresh, and improve services to fishermen cooperatives and others, and create a sustainable agricultural system based on the investment of natural and human resources as a safe way to meet the challenges of the siege imposed on the sector
- The project was a translation of the princely honor given by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar to support the fisheries sector and fisheries in the Gaza Strip
Project Objectives:
- Strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people through support and development of the fisheries sector and fisheries in Palestine
- Achieving sustainable development and enhance food security
- Development of manpower in the agricultural sector
- Creating a rewarding job opportunities for fishermen and their families to enable sustainable livelihoods
