Barwa Bank, Qatar's fastest growing Shari’ah compliant banking service provider, the sole sponsor and host of a special fund raising gala dinner held to celebrate the return of the two Qatari diving champions, volunteers of Qatar Charity (QC), who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa to increase awareness and encourage donations towards the famine that threatens millions of people in West Africa.

Qatar Charity has organized a series of educational, sports and entertainment events for 500 sponsored orphans in Hargeisa, Somaliland.

The events were organized by QC’s Somalia office and included running, races and football.

Qatar Charity has announced the results of its competition for schools; part of its Ana Snafi (I am Snafi) and Habet Reeh (A Gust of Wind) programs.

Twenty five schools competed for QAR 400,000 prizes.

QC officials presented the prizes in a ceremony held last Sunday at the Aspire Club, Doha and attended by officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Supreme Education Council, staff from other charitable organizations, students and their families.
