Qatar Charity’s charity market project has drawn to an end after a huge turnout.

The three day market was the seventh event of the ‘Tayf’ project and was held on October 4-6 2012 in Al Baraha camp in Al Aziziyah area.

“The seventh charity market witnessed over 1000 visitors a day and incorporated items such as furniture, home appliances and clothes,” said Abdullah Hadi Al Dosari, Director of In-Kind Donations at QC, in a press statement

Qatar Charity (QC) has finalised the establishment of Qatar Centre for Training (QCT) in Kosovo at a cost of more than QR4mn. Mahmud Abbas, director, QC office in Kosovo, said that the QCT project has an important role in education and development in the Kosovo community and an integral part of the care for the needy, in particular the orphans.

Qatar Charity (QC) recently distributed some 500 schoolbags containing basic essentials for the new school year to orphans sponsored by QC in Somalia.

Each bag contains 10 notebooks, three pens, a packet of colour pens, textbooks and other basic stationery. The project is one of the QC programmes in Somalia, to sponsor the needy and support them.
