Qatar Charity has implemented the first phase of a reconstruction project for Darfur, with the laying of the foundation stone of ‘Marla’ village.

The QAR 22 million project was funded by the State of Qatar and comes within the framework of the State’s efforts to promote security and stability in Darfur by supporting the development and reconstruction necessary to encourage the voluntary return of the displaced.

Qatar Charity has provided shelter and basic essentials for 33 Syrian refugee families in Ashhim City, Lebanon.

The refugees have been housed in Silver Star School in Shahim which QC repaired and refurbished in order to accommodate them.

The school was equipped with gas and laundry facilities, beds and other furniture, and toiletries such as shampoo and washing powder and food including fresh meat, vegetables and milk were distributed and health services provided.

Qatar Charity has organized a leisure trip for 100 Gaza orphans.

The trip, organized by QC’s Gaza office, included a visit to Games City "Sharm Park" in Gaza and educational programs, and was intended to strengthen the relationship between the orphans and QC supervisors as well as improving the psychological state of the orphans involved.
